PHILOSOPHY
PROFESSIONAL PHILOSOPHY
Self-growth and development flourish when there’s strong rapport and trust between coach and client and finding common ground through interests, laughter, and sense of belonging is what I’ve found to be the most effective in my years working with young athletes. A key foundation skill of the most successful collegiate student-athletes I’ve worked with is an ability to regulate and gear their self-talk towards success even in the face of adversity.
In addition to building physical skills, high performers are able to catch, check, and change their negative self-talk and can better self-actualize a clearer path to reach their full potential. These skills are built over time through repetitions, collaborations, and experimentation. My goal is to help psychological skills to deal with adverse conditions will lead to self-sufficient and resilient clients.
